RISKS OF THE JOB

Sorry it's late...

I do have a good excuse however. Last week I was savagely bitten by a dog at work and my hand was very swollen, bruised and sore for the first few days. I struggled to move most of my fingers. And being right handed you can bet the dog bit the right hand...

I could just about type on my laptop but I also have an assignment to do so I have dedicated all of my spare time to that as it's a tricky one. But the post is finally here!

When I got bitten, it was actually quite scary. I have been bitten in practice before but nothing this severe. The dog didn't show any signs of aggression so it was a real shock to see it react how it did. All the staff were wonderful however and helped me out however they could. My flatmates also did the same as I couldn't cook or do the washing up. I also needed to keep the wound dry so I had to waterproof my arm whenever I needed a shower. This was very entertaining!

My parents also helped me out a lot by picking me up from uni and taking me back home for the weekend so I didn't have to cook and could focus on my assignment work. It was really nice to have a little break from uni.

This post is very short and kind of a gap filler but it's the only interesting thing that has happened to me.

And after a short trip to the minor injuries bit of the hospital and a course of antibiotics I am finally on the mend!

And don't forget to smile! x
