CELEBRATE THE LITTLE VICTORIES

We need to celebrate the little victories in our life. No matter how small they are, they are achievements that need to be acknowledged. If simply getting out of bed or taking a shower were the only things on your to-do list yesterday but you did them, then congratulations and well done. Even if it took all day to do it, its still been done and to some people it can feel impossible.

I wanted to record my recent little achievements as I have been super stressed with pretty much every aspect of my life recently and I have needed something else to focus on. I HAVE done something awesome and that needs to be pointed out, to make the stress and the panic go away for a while.

I did write this post a while ago when I was having a bad few days so since writing it I have had more little bits of happiness to think about...

I have finally finished (and now submitted) my second assignment of the year. This is also the first assignment I have done that actually counts towards my final grade at the end of the four years at uni so no pressure! It was a difficult one and not as interesting as my previous but I have done it and that is important to acknowledge. It may not have been perfect when I initially finished it but I still had time to get it right. The main point is that I had the whole body of the text completed and still had about a week to neaten it up.

I have also been posting on here weekly since the very start of the year and that, to me, is very impressive. Even with work, uni notes to keep up with and assignments to write, I have somehow managed to stay active on here. I have even started to write multiple posts a week (okay, I've only done this twice) but I initially wrote this 2 weeks before it would go live. That is quite a shock considering how often I missed a post before.

It should also be celebrated when we just get through a day, particularly the hard ones. Jacob and I try to take each day at work day by day. It can be really hard as we both work super long hours and our industries can be really stressful but at the end of the week we are rewarded with each others company and a couple of days to chill out, watch Netflix and snack to our hearts content. In that moment I think I am my happiest and I can't thank Jacob enough for bringing that in to my life!

I hope your day/week hasn't been too difficult but remember to take time out and a step back to celebrate the achievements you've made, even if they are only small.

And don't forget to smile! x
