If you know me (or if you have read my blog posts because she's definitely in there somewhere) you will know about a woman called Louise Pentland. In this post I want to tell you a bit about who she is and why I think she is so wonderful!

Louise is most know for her blog and YouTube channel 'Sprinkle Of Glitter' and her side channel 'Sprinkle Of Chatter'. She initially started blogging in 2009 and started her channels a little bit after thanks to Zoe Sugg. Some of the other things that she does that people might not know about include being a UN Global Ambassador for Gender Equality, an award winning icon, and a super mum to Darcy and soon to be birthed Baby Pentland.

You may have also seen that Louise is now an author of a Sunday Times Best Selling Hardback novel called 'Wilde Like Me'. There are many videos on her channel about the book so click below to find out more.

In short, 'Wilde Like Me' is about a single mum called Robin Wilde who struggles with The Emptiness and trying to keep it away. She is a make-up artists' assistant and a loving mother to Lyla. It follows her in her search for a change to help her life become what it should be.

2 weeks ago, on the 29th of June (publication day!) I had the absolute pleasure of meeting this lovely woman in person. This was at a book signing at The Glee Club in Birmingham. Louise did a talk about her book with her editor, Ellie and about her next novel that is in planning at the moment. She then did a Q and A session with the audience and even answered my question! I felt very special.

After that, we had a little break and Louise then got ready to sign all of our books. Then we met her and got to have a little chat with her at the table and a photo.

I can honestly Louise Pentland is the loveliest human being on this planet! She was so down to earth, so pleasant, made eye contact with each person she spoke too and was so so funny. There was never a dull moment to the signing (not that there would be) and there was almost always a euphemism to be found.

In true Gemma style though, I couldn't exit gracefully... I had just thanked Louise for the amazing night, congratulated her on her successful career, lovely family and her new baby bump when it all went a little wrong. I turned to leave but got my foot stuck on the tablecloth and almost fell down the step and in to the security guard. Not my most graceful move.

Despite the embarrassment, it was actually a wonderful moment as Louise turned to me and just kept shouting "Are you okay? Are you sure?" Another bit of proof that she is the most wonderful person you will ever meet. She is an all round gorgeous human being.

I hope you enjoyed this post and please give Louise the love she deserves on her blog, channel and other social medias. If you want to buy the book also then click below. It is worth investing in. I have already fallen in love with Robin and i am only a quarter of the way in!

And dont forget to smile! x
