The news stories that I want to share with you in this post are all happy news stories that show how nice people can really be. A few selfless people have taken time out of their day to make someone else smile and it has had an impact on them and made their day better. Hopefully by sharing them with you, you too can find an extra reason to smile today!

The Wii U story

The first one is about a young boy who had been going into a store every day for over a month to play with a Wii U. He had been enjoying the store's demonstration model and the staff had noticed his keenness in the console. The lovely staff at Best Buy, New York decided they were all going to pitch in and together would pay for a $300 console for the boy so he could have his very own one. This meant that he would no longer have to travel to the store every day to play the game and could now do so from home. This generous act has given this boy a lovely early christmas present and made his christmas!

The camera adaptation story

The next story is all about a young man who has a huge passion for photography. His name is James and he is terminally ill but doesn't let that impact on his happiness too much. He loves taking pictures as it distracts him from his painful disease but he does struggle to grip and use his camera. The BBC had heard about James and his love for photography, and asked design engineer Jude Pullen to help James out by enabling him to use his camera more. This was quite the task but 3 months later, Jude presented James with his very own custom camera. It is controlled via a tablet and is fully functional. He can now use his camera properly and can fully immerse himself in his photography. His passion shows in his work as his photographs are truly beautiful and can be seen in the video below.

The lion story

The final video I want to share with you is just a simple 90 second clip of a young baby impersonating his favourite animal. It is a really sweet clip and I hope that it makes you smile, as well as the other two news stories.
